Skywalk API Guides#
To get started, create an account at skywalkapi.com.
1. Create a Project#
Log in to the Skywalk API Dashboard and create a new Project. You'll receive a dedicated email address to use in step 2.
2. Connect to AppFolio®#
Use your new Skywalk API Project's dedicated email address to invite a new user into your AppFolio® database. This setup has two important security advantages:
- Skywalk API never needs to know your administrative AppFolio® credentials
- You can limit Skywalk API's access via this user's AppFolio® permissions
While offering security advantages, a dedicated user for Skywalk API creates practical constraints:
- You must not change or reset this dedicated user's password
3. Integrate Skywalk API#
Once your credentials are verified, our API immediately begins working and returning your AppFolio® data.
